Oswestry Sinfonia is the amateur orchestra of the market town of Oswestry in Shropshire. Making music since 1979, it is regarded as one of the foremost amateur orchestras in the West Midlands.
The orchestra has a reputation for exceptional performances from a range of different periods. There are over eighty members of the orchestras coming from many walks of life. We meet on Fridays at the Parish Centre in Oswestry. New members wishing to join the orchestra are always welcome.
Our Conductor is, Richard Adamson who joined us in 2009. Under Richard’s leadership, the Orchestra has performed varied and challenging programmes including popular classics as well as less well-known pieces. We invite a soloist to join us at least once a year
We pride ourselves on being a sociable and friendly orchestra. If you play an instrument and are interested in joining us, click on the 'Joining OS' tab at the top of the page for more information.
